Traveled to a city I have never stayed in before. Me, my wife, and our dog. Stayed in a Pet Friendly Hotel. My wife said, “You stay with the dog, I am going to find carry-out for dinner”. I handed her the car keys, Air Tag attached. She took the car in search of dinner. A short time later, I noticed she forgot her smart phone. Our car, has no navigation without a phone in the car. Unfamiliar city, no navigation, no communication, what if she gets lost? Then I remembered the AirTag was with her. Picked up my iPhone and periodically checked her location on a map. She came back and said, “I was lost for a bit”. I told her I knew where the car was the whole trip. Great Southwestern salad for dinner too.

OK, so, I read about the airtag online and spoke with an apple product support person because due to hacking (yes, on an iphone, remotely, not linked to any pfishing via any text or email), I DO NOT use wifi on my iphone unless I am in an apple store or in my mobile services store. I ONLY use cellular service on my iphone to limit hacking into personal wifi or wifi of friends (when I was hacked EVERYTHING on the wifi was hacked, including all devices). Reading online and discussing with apple support, made me believe that I would have to use wifi on my iphone in order to use the airtag. The instructions online were awful. The 3 different apple support people I spoke with were clueless and provided conflicting, different info. I almost returned the airtag. However, I decided that the cheap cost of it was worth at least trying it on something. Anyway, I opened the box and was committed to trying it. The instructions in the box are totally useless, but fortunately the airtag is ez to plug and play without the poor instructions and wrong info from apple support and online. The tag has been awesome and fun to watch the progress of my car. I also was able to tell that the car sat around a full week in a parking lot away from the port in California where it had been shipped to from Oahu…. so I called the transport company to ask what the deal was. that lit a fire under the transport company and they started moving! anyway, it is super awesome and the price is good. I didn’t buy a case for it…. I just taped it inside my trunk, under the cover for the spare tire. EZ Peasy. I’ll definitely use it again. I’ve found a place where theres a package of 4 or 5 for super cheap…. a bit supply store that starts with a C and ends with a co, but bought through Amazon it is still a good buy, it is convenient, and I really don’t need 4 or 5 of these things.

Well sounds like they where expecting a miracle tracking device or at least a cellular/GPS type tracker if that’s the scenario used to test it I just today, And I’ve tried many others tile, xyo, Samsung cellular tracker, and also i have a T-Mobile cell/GPS tracker, am now officially a true believer in the apple tag and this comes from one who has been an anti apple all apple no matter its purpose person for decades . Well they won I know have a iPhone 14 as well and asap ill be grabbing more tags for whatever i might or need to put them on. I have a very expensive electric bike I have done extensive work on for personal reasons well i always though i needed the Cell/GPS tracker if it was ever taken not an apple tag but I put both on it within less than an hour i found the cell tracker on the side of the road still tracking but not what i needed. The apple tag it still on it in fact drove across town following it today and pretty sure the guys he tried to sell it to either didn’t or got refunded because I’m pretty sure i talked to them with their bs threats on police which i said awesome since we were literally across the street from city hall and this is true I told him well you can call them back and try to get them to hurry because ide love to talk to them to i had already tried finding one by city hall but had no luck. Then this random guy who was a buyer or friend after i told him its still being tracked actually asked me “well hey where exactly is the tracker at on the bike” Well needless to say the clean version of my answer is no of your business at all it my tracker for my property why you need to know is stupid and proves you know who and what I’m looking for, he somewhere in his imagination really thought I would tell him where it was what a reject, he tried to cover it up with well I’m just trying to help but when I replied not so nicely and reminded him i never asked for his or his friends help and also where the officers were i didn’t have a day to sit hit because he was telling stories or had never call them anyways it becomes easy to tell or read people and their true intent as well as the actions maybe taken but probably just lied about to use as a threat but when you prove your knowledge of the law to be far beyond and how much more a cop would be helpful for you there’s a pause and a look at or thru you of disbelief that 1 I would make you eat your own teeth if you want to go that route I’m a 6’4 only about 265 now maybe little more but I am a 2 time D2 national champion x college football O line men pulling guard to in fact so it always fun to see how scared and sheer unbelief in my speed at my size or #2 that not one of there stupid and unreal threats of legal action or anything else especially when one claimed to just be a pest guy and might of been as he wasn’t trying to intimidate or anything really. Needless to say i believe they were buyers because all of a sudden he went back and left and once again my tag was on the move I should of had him at Costco but it wasn’t giving me the I was so close circle and direction with distance option like usual but now when i call the cops in the morning with the tag evidence and that it is now been back at his house where it started after leaving mine as well as the little bit of CELL/GPS data i can give them and oh yeah the clear of day VIDEO CAMERA FOOTAGE i have of the loser taking it from my back yard believe just start with that route because what i did has been a wasted of time since my dad drove I would o had his ass but whatever. Definately the tracker you have been looking for if like me you have tried all others and got lame response this guided me from down the street to my house thru my house and right to the keys it was on A++++ in my book and only choice pluse they make holders or hiders for everything to go everywhere and some thing i would recomend if not but for some one i know that needed on just to show how great they truly work anyone saying otherwise lives in the middle of no where with no other apple device around or is expecting it to do things almost no true tracker can and thats fact cause i have tested the out to and they are the top of the line no bs best you will find and i had the old samsung cell tracker that was good to but had no battery life really.

I had bought it for my husband to track his keys, he put it on his desk without the keys and we couldn’t find it. So I used the find my … on the phone to locate it and it worked well, it beeped and I was able to narrow down exactly were it was. I just wish it beeped louder. I was able to hear it in the house fine, but I’m thinking out in public where it is noisier it might be hard to hear it. It did show on a map it’s general location though, lol my house. It connected simply and quick to iphone, did have issue trying to share but that was probably user error.

Used this to track our child on his first preschool field trip, to give us peace of mind. Was able to tell while they were travelling and when they got there, also was able to tell they were on way back so we could be ready to pick him up. I used a Belkin key fob for the air tag to sew it into his pants pocket.

After a terrifying very brief separation at an amusement park, I highly recommend this to put on your child to know you can locate them quickly if they get separated from you.

When I took my child to Disneyland, I bought this Airtag, and it’s incredibly useful. I wore it on my child’s wrist, and it’s cute and convenient. Even if she got lost, I could find her. I also attached an Airtag to my husband’s wallet, so he doesn’t have to search for it all over the house every day. You could even consider adding one to your dog’s collar, your remote control, and more. It’s best to have one on every important item in the house. No more worrying about having a bad memory. lol

The Apple AirTag is a game-changer for anyone prone to misplacing their belongings or who wants peace of mind. These small, coin-sized trackers are incredibly easy to set up and use with the Find My app on your Apple device. The build quality is excellent, as you’d expect from Apple, with a sleek and minimalistic design that easily attaches to your keys, wallet, or any other item you want to keep track of.

The precision of the tracking is impressive, making it a breeze to locate your lost items with pinpoint accuracy. The audible sound it emits when you’re near your item is a handy feature, and the U1 chip integration on newer iPhones takes the tracking to a whole new level with precise direction and distance information.

Battery life is solid, and the replaceable CR2032 battery ensures long-term use without worrying about recharging. Privacy and security are also well thought out, as AirTags are designed to protect user data and prevent unwanted tracking.

However, one drawback is the lack of a hole for a keyring or lanyard attachment, which means you’ll need a separate accessory for this. Also, it’s worth noting that AirTags are most effective within the Apple ecosystem, so Android users may not find them as versatile.

In summary, if you’re deeply invested in the Apple ecosystem and often find yourself searching for misplaced items, the Apple AirTag is a worthwhile investment that provides peace of mind and efficient tracking capabilities.

The Apple AirTag is a small, lightweight device that can be attached to virtually anything you don’t want to lose. Once attached, the AirTag can be tracked using the Find My app on your iPhone, iPad, or Mac. The Find My app will show you the AirTag’s current location on a map, and you can also play a sound to help you find it if it’s nearby.

The AirTag is incredibly accurate, thanks to Apple’s vast network of Find My-enabled devices. If your AirTag is lost, any Find My-enabled device that comes within range of it will anonymously report its location to iCloud. This means that even if you’re not sure where your AirTag is, there’s a good chance that someone else can help you find it.

The AirTag is also very secure. Apple has designed the AirTag with a number of privacy features in mind. For example, the AirTag’s location is never stored on the AirTag itself, and it only transmits its location when it’s within range of a Find My-enabled device. This means that there’s no way for anyone to track your AirTag without your knowledge.

Overall, the Apple AirTag is a great way to keep track of your belongings. It’s accurate, secure, and easy to use. If you’re looking for a way to reduce the stress of losing things, the AirTag is a great option.

      Pros:

      Incredibly accurate tracking
      Secure design
      Easy to use
      Cons:

Requires an iPhone or iPad to use
      Can be a bit pricey

Great tracker that works with the Find My app on iPhones and iPads. Extremely easy to set up and there are a number of youtube videos to consult if you have a problem. I use one in my wallet which has been known to get misplaced around my house. The bluetooth range is around thirty feet so if I dropped my wallet inside a store it would ping off any iPhone within bluetooth range and then show up on the Find My app on my iPhone. Since iPhones are everywhere it’s a very useful tracking device. If you’re on the fence I say go for it. Does not work with Android.

I’ve bought a few of these and they work great. Super easy to use. Once you get one, you’ll find many uses for them! I originally bought one and put it on my keys. Now I have one in my car, in my backpack, on my cat (you can find cat collars to put an AirTag in) and I purchased this one to put in my suitcase for an upcoming trip. My cousin recently bought one to put on her daughter (she placed it in her shoe) when we went to Disneyland! They’re super handy!
