I got this kindle for school and love it. Bought a keyboard and mouse to use with as I am constantly typing up papers and homework. Its great for those needing something small for school.

I have always had kindle’s, my old one bit the dust so I’m trying the newest one and so far, it’s good, Love the color but wish they would make White, because that is my color choice and my old one. Recommend Kindle for an need you have. Gina Clabo

I just upgraded from my 2021 Kindle Fire 10. This Kindle is unbelievable. I traded my 2021 and got a great deal on this. It is faster, the clarity is clearer and brighter and I am so happy with it. The size is about the same, it was super easy to set up by following the screen prompts and they give me plenty of time to send them my trade in. I have had retinal surgery in both eyes and love to read so Kindle enables me to get the font large enough to do so. Some of my apps from the App Store did not restore so I just downloaded them again. Good opportunity to not reload ones I was no longer using. Now for putting on my new case and giving it a good test drive for a week or so. So far so good.

First it was hard to pick a color, I chose the lilac which I love but wished I would have gotten the blue. Oh well…
As previous reviews have stated it is thinner, lighter and faster. This is my 3rd Fire 10 tablet and the best so far. I like that when I chose to I can get the pencil to use with it. Since the side edges on the display screen are a bit thinner it makes it not a long as my old 2019 (9th generation) Fire tablet. It was definitely time to upgrade after four years. I am really pleased with this tablet and will probably use it more often than I did my old one. It’s also nice to be able to trade in my old tablet for a gift card and 20% off a new one which brought the price down considerably. Glad Amazon offers this!
Kindle Customer –
I really like the new keyboard! The screen and picture quality are awesome. Speed is a marked improvement over my 202.
On to the disappointment;
The main reason I upgrade from the 2021 year was because my battery life was dipping down (10-12 hours per charge or every other day charges)…so I though. It turns out that the battery on this new model is poor. I read a lot, 6 hours a day, no real movie use 1 NFL game. I am having to charge my tablet daily. If anything, the 2023 is holding a charge at around 75% of my 2021. I’m going to continue using it for a couple of weeks to see if others any better.
I’ll update my review in 2 weeks. If it does not improve I’ll give Amazon a chance to repair or replace it. I think I have owned every Fire tablet made (loyal to brand) at one point or another and this is the first issue I have had. It could be that the memory and speed are causing issues, time will tell.

I lost my 7th gen Fire, my 2nd one, a few months ago. This is replacing that and my tablet, which has met a tile floor 1 too many times! This is faster and as sharp as, if not sharper than, my Samsung tablet for less than half the price. And I’m still able to play the games that I usually do.
It’s lighter than previous versions but still just as solid-feeling.
I really like having all of my Amazon-related bus in one central location again.

A great tablet. Wonderful picture quality and fast speed. My only problem is my past app/game library won’t appear. It keeps telling me I have to repay for them.
